Coloring Down the Lines - Sprinkles of Life

Well, I must say, I had a little bit of a hard time with this one this week, and I thought this should have been a slam dunk.  Funny how that works out.  Every time I sit down and look at the colors and come up with something to make using them, everything works out great.  If I have an idea in my head and sit down to create it, it never looks like I want it to look, then I change the design completely, and well, it's ok.  That's what this week's submission is ... ok.

I hope you got here from Amanda's blog, as she inspires us all the time with different techniques or designs.  Make sure you get back over there if you started here.  And moving along to Joni's blog, she always thinks ahead and comes up with some different stuff as well.  Sometimes I do too, but this time, I've been in a mini slump.  You know I'll get out of it, so stay tuned.  I hope to be posting more after Convention.  I have many swaps I must get finished (and designed for that matter), so I'll have a lot to share.

So .... here's the color pallet and photograph we used for our inspiration this week.  I wanted to make  an ice cream card, so fitting with the picture, but it just didn't work out.  Oh well, next time.

Now don't you think ice cream would have just hit the spot with this one?  Yea, me too.  But never-the-less, here's my card for you this week.

And there you have it.  I used the Sprinkles of Life stamp set for this one, and added some pearls and topped it off with some linen thread for the bow.

I hope you liked it, and please come back again to see what I'll have for you next.

Hugs and kisses ...

Paper Plunge 37 - Black and White with a Pop

It's been a while since I've posted something over at the The Paper Plunge.  Life has a way of getting in the way sometimes, but the opportunity to get back into the swing of things is here and I'm plunging right in.

This week's challenge is "Black and White with a Pop".  Well that's pretty easy, isn't it?  Here's what I created for the challenge.

Recipe
Paper:  basic black, whisper white
Ink:  memento black
Stamp Set:  gift from the garden
Accessories:  2015-17 in color embellishment, arrows EF, large dots EF, black baker's twine

I love those little embellishments .. they are so cute.  I know I'll be using those quite a lot.

Hope you have fun trying your hand at the challenge over at the plunge.  Go on ... take the plunge!

Coloring Down the Lines - A Whole Lot of Lovely

Hi Everyone.  I'm back.  I've been traveling a bit, and wouldn't you know, when I got home, I got really ill.  Not sure what was going on, but I got some sort of infection in my chest, which between the fevers and coughing, kept me in bed for a week.  I'm still not totally out of the woods yet, but I'm definitely on the mend.

So welcome back to our blog hop this week.  I'm sorry I had to miss last week, but I was just not up to it.  This week, we're in for a treat, as the colors are so pretty.  Here they are:
